I worked for Blitz Audio on the sound design for the Lost Skies announcement trailer!
This was a really exciting project to be a part of, with lots of gorgeous details to dig into when designing sounds for the various characters, gadgets, and creatures of Bossa Games' awesome new game world.
I’m really looking forward to seeing and hearing what wonderful sights and sounds await us in the game itself!
Leeds Met University hosted its first Game Audio Symposium event this past weekend, and it was a really lovely time!
Obligatory event lanyard & badge picture! Each attendee had to list a game that they particularly enjoyed audio-wise on their badge, which was a fun touch. My choice went to the latest RE2 remake - I think the foley team at Capcom are ridiculously good at what they do; the movement and weapon handling sounds for Claire/Leon are absolutley top-notch!
The event was hosted by Richard Stevens and Dave Raybould (authors of the exellent Game Audio Implementation book and various Unreal Online Learning courses), and the whole roster of speakers throughout the day were very engaging to listen to. I’m already looking forward to next year’s event!

Bay Bryan's 'The Meadow' album launched this week!
I recorded bird and nature ambiences for a couple of the tracks back in 2021. It’s really great to be able to hear the full album now that it has finally been released into the wild! 🎶
I worked on sound design & dialogue processing for Crab Studio’s Fatal Knockout Kickstarter launch trailer!
It was a fun project to contribute to and be a small part of Niall Crabtree’s team - great to be able to ‘knuckle down’ 👊💥 as it were and ‘crack’ on 🦴⚡️ with all the vatious details of the design!
The Kickstarter campaign for the board game is now live, so give it a look if you want to pledge and get your hands on a copy.
At the time of writing, the team are also running a Fatal Knockout Invitational Tournament via YouTube during launch week - the perfect way to get a feel for the gameplay before stepping in to the ring yourself!
So…
…it’s been quite some time since my last blog post, huh? 😅
Quite a bit has happened since Oct ‘21, but at the time of writing, everything I’m currently working on is still under wraps, so I don’t have anything particularly new that I can talk about…yet.
However, all being well, I should have something else I can share soon, coming up in early March. Not too long to wait for that one! 👀
One exciting development that I can share at the moment is that I was accepted into BAFTA Connect at the end of 2022!
I’m really delighted and honoured to have been accepted into the Connect program, as its filled with so many hard-working, inspiring and cool people across the Film, TV and Game Industries. Needless to say, I’m very much looking forward to meeting fellow Connect members next time I’m down in London for one of the meetups.
The Meadow, an album by Singer-Songwriter Bay Bryan, has a release window of April 2023.
I captured and processed field recordings for various tracks on the album back in 2021, and it’s great to know that the finished work will soon be available for folks to listen to in full in just a few months’ time.
The album launch also has a launch gig on 6th April at The Deaf Institute in Manchester - you can grab pre-sale tickets for that here. Should be a fun night!
